So after much inputs and since I'm also getting much confused, I decided to give JAIPerlis a call. Call hari Jumaat pukul 2.30pm. Ok, selepas 2 kali, panggilan tak berjawab. Fine, Jumaat rehat lama sikit kan. Pukul 2.45pm call lagi sekali. Pun masih tidak berjawab. Aku dah, ok tau la hari Jumaat kan tapi dah pukul 2.45pm pun takde sapa angkat lagi, korang kerja ke tak?
After patiently staring at the wall clock in my office, at 3pm sharp I decided to give it another try. Ok, kali ni panggilan berjawap. Nasib baik. Dapat bercakap dengan one of lady officer bahagian nikah & kahwin. After introducing myself, I ask her the procedure.
This is what she told me (over the phone). For Perlis bride, please take note:
- Borang kebenaran berkahwin boleh didapati di Jabatan Agama Islam Perlis. Memandangkan JAIP tidak mempunyai website sendiri yang berfungsi, please ask your father or anyone to take it for you. Kesian ok, JAWI and JAIS boleh download dari web je. Orang Perlis kena amik borang dekat pejabat sendiri.
- If the groom is an outsider (wah, bunyi macam apa), complete all the documents needed for groom's side, only then you can complete yours.
- Submission date is 1-3 months before your solemnization date. Tapi dekat borang cakap submission must be made 3 months before solemnization date. Aku pun macam, eh officer cakap lain borang cakap lain. Apakah? Tapi for me, no harm pun kalau nak submit awal kan. During the submission, bring the groom's complete form, salinan ASAL sijil kursus kahwin, HIV test result and IC photocopy of the bride, wali and saksi (as per in form)
Ok, tu je kot. And oh HIV test valid 6 months bukan 3 months. Ajaran sesat mana aku baca aritu ntah. Ke lain-lain klinik lain validity dia? Enlightened me please?
