Antara Beg Camelia Dan Beg Moose

I read Reena's post on EH! Chic party and realized that the Chanel bag Camelia's toting is the same as mine!

Click here to read about my previous post on the findings.

Here are Camelia and her bag, and of course the lovely Reena.

and mine:-

See? sama kan? I can't clarify on the authencity of my bag though as I bought it at a flea market in Frankfurt. On the inside it says, "Chanel" and "Made in France" but this of course can be untrue.

Bitten By The Thrift Bug

A cute animation with French song by Edith Piaf.

****

I went to the second hand shop in my town that I mentioned earlier in one of my post. I was actually looking for a braided belt, something similar to what Jeunedemoiselle had on here.

Unfortunately there were none but I came home with all these instead.

[L-R: Esprit checkered shirt for 2.50€, 2 brown belts for 2€ each, blue string belt 1€ and straw handbag/clutch for 2.50€]

Excuse the low quality, they're taken using my phones cam.

I nearly bought a big vintage sunglasses for 3€ but end up not buying it because I look like my granny in it! The lady at the shop even tried the sunglasses and modelled them for me. I honestly think the sunglasses really look good on her rather than on me. I love to room through the shop more if only the shop lady doesn't follow me around! It really turns me off because I hate it whenever sales assistant/someone keep tailing on me when I'm shopping. Perhaps she's kinda excited that finally she had a customer that actually bought something?

I never think that thrifting can be so much fun! It's like searching for hidden treasure of something because you'll never know what you'll find and the price is so cheap! I think from now on I'm gonna give up shopping at normal store like H&M, Zara or MNG.

Once you go thrift, you'll never go back.

First of all

.. I'm terribly sorry for neglecting my blog for so long. It's just that I've been busy lately. However I'm really grateful that after searching for an apprentice place for so long and went to listless interviews, I managed to score a place. And now, I had a huge headache finding a room/apartment in such a short time! I should have not said that I will begin as soon as possible if I'd know that finding a decent place can be this tiring! Oh well, promises had been made.

Apropos promise yes, I know that I promised all of you the pictures but I've to apologize one more time as I still don't have the pictures.

My friends, my boyfriend and I went to Istanbul the other day during Easter for 2 days, and we had so much fun and I got to see my boyfriend! I haven't seen him for about a month since he moved to the new place. As much as I would love to post the pictures here but I'm afraid I'm gonna pass. I'm still don't comfortable disclosing my identity. OK, maybe a couple of pics where no full frontal image of me in it, deal?

The entrance to Grand Bazaar

This is where we got so overwhelmed and spend most of our money

The famous Blue Mosque or Sultan Ahmet Mosque

Yeah, that's me alright, acting all crazy and goofy on the streets of Istanbul

The headscarf that I'm wearing is actually bought at the Grand Bazaar for 6 Lira which is about RM12? It's pretty cheap here in Istanbul, the key is to haggle most of the items to half of its price. The other thing is being Muslim and comes from Malaysia. Seriously it's like the word Malaysia had been plastered all over our forehead or something. It's like everywhere we went, we're stopped by people asking do we come from Malaysia or Indonesia but they always suspected the former. Now enough of Istanbul and its lovely cheap scarves, or its coloured hand-painted porcelain wares..and no-fuss-halal-food-is-everywhere...

Last weekend I went to the flea market in my town. When it's raining and cold, it surely can kill your mood to freely browse through all the items. I saw a couple of beautiful vintage shoes but sadly none of them are in my size. I almost bought a sheer black blouse that is 200 times larger that my size (yeah, I'm exaggerating here) because I'm in love with its high frilly Victorian neck but quickly come to my senses. And also I hate the seller who won't reduce the price of his very vintage and hand-painted gold Swiss-made pocket watch cum pendant. I'm not a big fan of accessories but that one really caught my eyes. Other than that I love the lady who's freezing because of the cold weather and sold me a lovely 50's/60's leather handbag for only 2Euro without hesitation.

Dear lady, I love you so much that I even mention you on my blog! You rock my world! Yeah!

Vintage handbag: thrifted 2€

Well, quite a lengthy post huh? I thought it should cover up all the posts I've been meaning to write but don't.

For The Love Of Vintage

Since I'm so into vintage clothing right now, I've been hunting some vintage stuff(s) on Ebay like a mad woman lately. So here's some of interesting pieces that I found:

Oxford pattern pump from the 60-ies
(I love the sturdiness of the heels)

Nude coloured pump (year unknown)

Hippie dress from the 70-ies
(update: a buyer place a higher price than me!ARGH!)

Vintage Leather Sling Bag from the 80-ies

I'm also planning on hitting a second hand shop here in the town that I accidently discovered a few weeks ago and also the flea market that takes place every weekend (or is it every two weeks?) here, only the problem is that I don't know the exact place. I haven't pay a visit to the second hand shop yet so I don't know what to expect, whether or not they have vintage clothing that wearable or just a bunch of junk but I'm hoping that I could at least find something. Ebay is a good reliable source to find vintage items, but the only problem is that you have to sometimes compete with other buyer or else end up not having the item you want.

So I really really really hope that my *ehem* bidding skill(s) work its way...somehow.

TGI Friday Weekend

The Bag: MNG Green Khakis Tote

The Content: Creative Zen Mp3, hairband, monthly ticket, work ID, pocket tissue, DKNY Be Delicious Roll-On, house keys, USB Stick, MNG purse. (Not in pics: old and scratchy Samsung handphone, digital camera, organizer)

The Make up: Body Shop Tea Tree Cover Stick (this helps me a lot as my current skin condition isn't serving its best), Dior Lipgloss, Body Shop Melon Lipbalm, Blistex Lipbalm, black eyeliner, Bepanthol Extra Skin Moisturizer, handcream, Silky Girl 2-Way Foundation.

Other Content (on certain occasion): Other half's stuff ie wallet, handphone or even book(s), bottled mineral water, Burberry sunglasses.

As you can see, my handbag serves as a junk keeper, and that solely the main reason why I constantly need a bigger bag. Can someone pls buy me Yves Saint Laurent Double Bag in Black/Silver upgrade: Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 for me? I'd really appreciate that as a gift for my birthday, thank you. *grin*

Bottega Veneta Handbag

I'm freakingly in love with the white crocodiles leather handbag from Spring/Summer 07 Collection from Bottega Veneta (2nd from left, top). God, I'm crazily obsess over handbag(s). Must've been running through the genes. Last year I was madly in love with Nicole Richie's black Balenciaga, Jessica Simpson's yellow Bulga, Kate Moss's Dior saddle bag, LV's Monogram Speedy (and I still am in love with it) and Fendi Spybag, and this time around I'm all over Bottega Veneta, YSL Double Bag (who ever thought that after all these years, Tom Ford manage to create something delicately lovely for YSL too) Chloé Edith as well as Paddington and of course Dior Gaucho! Gosh. I really can't wait to get a job and save my ass off to have them!!

YSL Reversible Tote

I absolutely love the new IT bag from Yves Saint Laurent. Why? Because it very roomy,(very me!) and it's reversible. How genius and practical! The bag comes in two colours basic black/anthracite silver and bronze/chocolate. The basic black reverses to anthracite silver for nights out after work or for a flip of attitude and edgy look. No fuss and fabulous!

editor's note: maybe I should hold on the plan on grabbing a LV's Monogramm purse for a while. This bag is too pretty too resist.

Marc Jacobs Brigitte Leather Bag

Marc Jacobs Brigitte Leather Bag

The moment I take a glimpse of this bag, my heart literally stops. Ok, let me rephrase that, considering that my heart skips a beat everytime I saw anything that adorable, be it a bag or damn cute man shoes. I'm so in loove with the bag. Anyhow it's from Marc Jacobs and cost a staggering, let me see, USD 1000? Yup, I know, there's no way I could afford such darling, ever, unless I marry some rich old fart, in which never gonna happen, ever.

And I refuse to be seen wearing and be adorn with some cheap fake stuff because it's against my principle. Erm it goes by something like; If you can't have it, buy no fakes. But, there's this label called LUSH had taken the initiative of being so kind to remake the same hot designer handbags a hell lot cheaper than the original copy!! (well not exactly the same, because they left out some of the details that an original handbag should have, eg brand labels etc). Now, tell me how wonderful is that?

Erm, will you excuse me, I have some bag browsing to do. :P

Coach Poppy Tote

I've been searching high and low for the perfect white bag until i found this lil sweetheart from Coach on Overstock, in which I fall in love immediately.
If only I could get my hands on this cutie, preferably in a bigger size. *grin*
