Facial

Both H and I were at Sunway Pyramid to pick up the ring yesterday. I was busy admiring my new bling while waiting for the SA to settle the bill when H turned to me and to my horror said,

"Sayang, your face is no longer flawless. Ada bintik-bintik jerawat."

Nangis. (T_T)

Firstly, my skin is not THAT flawless. I do have an occasional break-outs here and there but somehow they never leave scars or marks. Lately, I don't know what is wrong with my skin. The break-outs are getting more and more frequent. I suspected because I'm so under much stress and as what they say stress does no good for your skin. And caffeine. Oh I so love the smell of coffee in the morning and I can't possible say no to that. Though I drank less coffee nowdays than I used to. Funny because when I was in school I was so caffeine intolerant that whenever I drank coffee, my heart rate would go up and my hands would tremble.

In life, I only had facial treatment 3 times. One when I was still in Germany, I had a serious case of break-outs that it freaked me out. Went to dermatologist and she prescribed me some creams. She asked me whether I wanted to try their facial treatment for only 20Euro/session. Without hesistation I said yes and went. This was my first time ever and I didn't know what to expect out of it. First, the therapist cleanse my face. Then here comes the surprise..............

..........she squeezes all the jerawats that had been invading my face. It hurts so much that I wanted to slap her face. After all the painful extracting process was over, she puts on this smoothing toner and moisturise my face. When I looked at the mirror, to my horror muka aku penuh dengan bintik-bintik merah! Buruk gila weh! Dahlah I have to walk back all the way from the clinic to my apartment. Sabau jela sepanjang jalan orang tengok muka aku. Buuuuuttt after it healed, there are no scars or marks left on my face. No bumpy feeling whatsoever. Nasib baik.

My 2nd and 3rd facials, I had it done in Perlis. The 2nd one was an impromptu facial. Mom and I was passing by the Nutrimetics stokist store when I saw the sign. They're having a promotion on facial that use Nutrimetics products. So we just walked in and wanted to try their facial. The facial was so-so and very basic but the makcik who did both mom and me were good in extracting blackheads. I didn't feel the slightest pain at all. Then she urut-urut muka sikit. Syok woo! We paid only RM60 for both.

My 3rd facial I must say was the worst. I didn't like it at all. I think I'm allergic to Mustika Ratu's product because my skin was feeling a slight iritation during the whole facial process. Luckily I didn't have a break-out afterwards. They used the vacuum thing-y to extract the stubborn blackhead which according to my aunt who used to have her own salon, didn't really work in order to fully remove the blackheads. What work is the old school thing, yes using the metal rod thingamajing. After the whole facial treatment, the girl put some make-up on us(!) I read somewhere that you're not supposed to wear any make up after you had your facial. The make up was so horror that mom, my sister and I looked like a walking zombie. So putih ok the foundation. It was dirt cheap, RM20/normal facial so I should not expect much from it.

Now that H mentioned my face is no longer flawless and have bintik-bintik jerawat, I guess it's time to hit the salon and do facial. Can anyone recommend me a good, worth-for-money facial place? Please bear in mind that although they're damn good, La Mer or SKII or the likes are way out of my budget. Oh, also I don't like going to places where the SA are damn pushy and force customers to sign up for their this and this package.
