In spirit of true Malaysian, semua jenis makanan raya ada. There were rendang ayam & daging, lontong, ketupat, lemang, nasi impit, kuah kacang, nasi daging, biskut raya etc, you named it, we got it. Kiranya tak payah takut tak cukup makanan la lagipun kes kebuluran jarang berlaku dekat rakyat Malaysia.

I made some chocolate brownies and alhamdulillah, they were hit among kids. Nasib baik tukang buat ni sempat merasa sepotong dekat rumah kalau tak kempunan.
The weather was so nice and sunny that it would be a waste kalau takde sesi photography. So we had one at the backyard patio.

Around 4pm, we made a move and bid goodbye to the host. Went to a friend's house, had another round of raya food dan ajak orang datang rumah beraya kitorang pulak. Sembang-sembang, lepak-lepak dalam pukul 10 malam la jugak baru tetamu balik. Tu pun sebab tengok dekat luar masih cerah. Well, it's still summer here, what do you expect kan?
Overall, walaupun memang tak sama dengan beraya di Malaysia dengan keluarga sendiri tapi bila berkumpul ramai-ramai macam ni, terubat jugaklah hati. Lagipun if we were to go back, I don't think I'll have the energy & mood to berjalan sana sini as usually we did with me being 7 months pregnant and all. Kalau ikutkan turn, this year was supposed to be my turn and usually my family would go back to mom's hometown in Kuching. Siapa yang pernah duduk Kuching or Sarawak tu je tau macam mana Sarawakian ni beraya. Tak 7 hari berjalan memang tak sah. They really go all out dari raya pertama sampai ke raya ke-7 masih pakai baju Melayu dan baju kurung. So in a way, I'm relief that we decided not to go back for Eid.
Insya Allah there'll be another time.
