Life

Sorry for the long silence. To my defense, a week and a half is not the longest time I have been on hiatus. So caught up with work and daily routines that writing an entry seems like a burden. Well, at least to me.

First and foremost, I am deeply sadden for the devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami in the northeast Japan. When I first heard the news on Friday, it really felt like a déjà vu because weeks earlier, H and I were watching a National Geographic documentary on natural disaster such as mega earthquake and tsunami and the impact of such disaster to Tokyo, a city densely populated with 13 million people (correct me if I am wrong).

I vividly remembered that after watching it, my husband and I were discussing about the year 2012 theory as being disputed. Scientists generally base scientific hypotheses on previous observation that cannot satisfactorily be explained with the available scientific theories. And sometimes it is simply terrifying to see that such hypothesis and theory (can) come to life. That life without we knowing, is indeed short.

In short, live your life to the fullest and always cherish your loved one because your life might pass by the least you know it.

p/s: This entry is being drafted before the earthquake that hit Myanmar yesterday which caused the death toll to hit 65 as updated on CNN today. So please pray for the safety of people affected in Myanmar as well.

Moral of the story?

Bersihkan hati, banyakkan beribadat, buat amal kebaikan, bertaubat and try making Islam as our way of lives.

Sadly, we are just Muslims by names. Me included. Solat, puasa buat tapi belum tentu cukup nak menjamin masuk syurga.

Come to think of it, I get really really scared you know. But it's a good wake up call.
